Umindi and Dadi are still in our hearts. Their amazing wedding in Ravello last July was a 3-day event that we’ll never forget. Sara Mazzei designed, planned and organized an authentic Italian experience including excellent food, sea and fun…in only 210 days!
As every destination wedding, the celebrations start the day before, when most of the guests arrive. Ravello is a charming village on the Amalfi coast with a breathtaking view over the Mediterranean Sea and it is the perfect stage for a unique and unforgettable wedding. The first evening started with a white-themed aperitivo party in a chic café in Ravello’s main square, where the mix of live music, played by a guitar duo, and the delicious food created an adorable welcome in Italy.
After a quick drink and greetings, we invited the guests to reach Villa Maria for the sea-view al fresco dinner. Lemons, aromatic herbs and traditional pottery were the hallmark of the event. The enjoyable flow of the weekend brought us to the Big Day. The ceremony took place in the Church of Santa Maria a Gradillo in Ravello. The Church is beautiful as it is, therefore we decided to decorate it using only white flowers, and orchids were our choice.
We like to design our events respecting the beauty of the venue without altering it. We could spend hours describing the emotion of the ceremony, the beautiful and colorful attires of the super-chic guests and the beauty of the bride, but what we wish to remember most is the locals in Ravello. They really welcomed Umindi and Dadi and they celebrated with them when they left the Chapel to reach the Belmond Caruso, where the cocktail reception and dinner was held.
The night ended dancing and having fun at the infinity pool of the Caruso. After this elegant wedding day, we suggested that Umindi treat their guests to the fun experience of the sea. All their 100 guests in their fashionable clothes arrived in the Amalfi harbor to reach one of the best beach restaurant in the Amalfi coast. The good-bye lunch added a touch of authenticity with the most traditional Italian seafood. This is our style…offering an genuine experience with an impeccable design and planning. “When we design an event we start from the couple and the venue. These are the two milestones of the entire event. Then we develop some proposals and ideas till arriving to a final project that we design.
What I really like is to focus an event on the show during the dinner and night. I plan in details the timing of the dinner,
the light, the music and when it is possible, fireworks to make the event memorable.
