“Sara, we love Florence and its style, that’s why we decided to get married here. But we also love the Amalfi coast. Do you think you could create something that reminds us of Amalfi?”
And this is how our Amalfi-style welcome dinner in Florence started.
The pool area at Villa San Michele is the perfect spot to organize a welcome dinner, with its breathtaking view over Florence. We defined the pool area to set up the Amalfi coast-style buffet corners, using powder blue tablecloths with yellow decorations, lemon trees in white and blue vases, bougainvillea, blue candles, and tambourines with the portraits of the guests as place cards.
The dinner was a vast array of vegetables, pasta served in a Parmesan wheel, a mozzarella bar, and the ever-present piano bar, a must have in any mid-summer party in Italy. We had some specially made ceramic trays to make our buffet corners even more unique.
Last but not least, Nettuno & La Sirena performed their show in the pool. What can I say? Florence only lacked the ocean that evening.
